Having spent the past decade of my life in Boulder, saying goodbye was easier than I thought. For many years I’ve had the feeling that I’ve been living in a fishbowl- I guess growing up in the chaotic ocean of Athens created a fish with appreciation for diversity, excitement, and restaurants that stay open past 10pm.

Boulder has been an amazing place to nurture my growth. Thanks to the challenging decision to leave Greece behind for Naropa University, I am quite a different person than the one that had a long conversation with the border police in 2009 at the Denver airport – again, with a cat in my arms.
As I close this chapter of my life I couldn’t be more grateful for all the gifts I’ve received in these past years, including all the beautiful and ugly wrappings they came in. I am ready for what’s next, always holding close the love in all its forms I have grown into. So, goodbye Colorado; can’t wait to see you Washington!
