Have you ever found something that you created in the past but you’ve forgotten, and upon finding it you felt proud about your younger self? It is something I love doing to Lina at any given opportunity. It is a constant reminder that what we create stays with us, even when we forget about it.
Today, let it be good what you create.
“Sometimes I get a free, fancy cup of coffee, and I take this opportunity to contemplate life. My life. So far, 2017 has been full of unexpected things, and some planned. Leaving my job of 3 years was planned, but finding a new, promising one only to quit in just 2,5 months was not. Finding out about a health issue wasn’t planned, but conquering it was. Going to 6 concerts this summer was soooo planned! And 3 road trips to new destinations were somehow planned, because what’s the point of planning a road trip all the way, it would spoil the fun. Being idle for the past month was planned. Being sick of it was not. Getting 2 new job offers simultaneously was surprising, but I can’t say I didn’t work for it. And believe me when I say, there’s a huge orgy happening in my head about all the cool places I plan seeing by the end of this year.
I am slowly learning to appreciate the things I work hard for, not taking them, or me, for granted. My personal history has proven that whatever it is I’m going through now, things will get better. My life sometimes feels like a video game, colorful and exciting and with funny little songs, and a cute cat as my sidekick. Every stage has something to teach me about what I am capable of, pushing me and my comfort zone a bit further. And then the next stage will be harder, and more rewarding, and so on. And every time I think I am finally in a battle with the big boss, something bigger comes right after that, to teach me something new about myself.
I have nothing to complain about. It is my motto that we all get what we deserve, there’s no such thing as luck. And right now, I definitely deserve this free, fancy cup of coffee.”
